Iman Shumpert is a legitimate candidate for Rookie of the Year. Shumpert shows such a great feel for the game and has high basketball IQ. His jumpshot is so much better than I expected it to be. He uses his super long arms to get into the passing lanes and he uses his athleticism to attack the rim. He is exponentially better than Toney Douglas at running the Pick and Roll. One of the staples in D’antoni’s offense is running the pick and roll in transition. Shumpert has shown a great feel for using the screener to either get into the lane or find the screener for a nice dunk off the roll.
