My dream team
I miss the NBA too much. I know nobody cares about what I think but I decided to make up my own 12 man roster. These are the 12 players I would pick to play for my team. (Active players only)
*Starting Line-up
PG: Chris Paul
I still think he’s the best Point Guard in the game. He’s tough, has a sweet mid range jump shot, and is one of the premier passers in the game
SG: Kobe Bryant
Black Mamba. Dwyane Wade is probably better but I want Kobe on my team. You know he’s getting the ball in the 4th quarter.
SF: Kevin Durant
An offensive machine. He can score from anywhere on the floor and his defense has improved each season. Could be the best player in the league pretty soon.
PF: Pau Gasol
Yes, he had a terrifying Postseason in 2011. I still think he’s the best Power Forward in the league. He can score inside and out. High IQ and a great passer. No slouch on defense either.
C: Kendrick Perkins
I have 4 top notch scorers already. I need a tough guy in the middle. Kendrick Perkins is still the baddest man in the league. He may not get as many blocks as Dwight Howard and Andrew Bogut but he is still the best positional low-post defender in the league.
*Bench:
James Harden (Fear the Beard. Great offensive weapon off the bench)
Chauncey Billups (Veteran guy, can still knockdown a 3 and play some defense)
Kevin Garnett (Still a great defender and great teammate)
Ray Allen (Knockdown 3 point shooter)
Lamar Odom (Can do it all)
Nick Collison (glue guy, does all the dirty work)
Tony Allen (My defensive stopper)
This team has everything you need. All the ingredients for a championship winning team. Notable exception: Lechocke James. He may be a beast, but he forgets who he is in the 4th quarter.
